My order was #121349 placed on 27th November 2023. This is just what I was looking for and Norsegarde did point out it could take several weeks to arrive, they are based in Ukraine and are at war with Russia (at the time of writing this). The order arrived on 19th December2023 and was well packaged and evidently very well made.
I ordered size T (19.6mm) and the sizing was absolutely correct, but unfortunately as I am rather large at 193cm tall the ring looked somewhat delicate and was slightly slender in profile compared with the picture depicted on the website. I accept that it must be difficult to photograph something of this size with absolute clarity and I'm certain that the company just wanted to display their product properly.
Decided that the ring was not for me and sent their customer services team a polite e-mail to inquire about the possibility of a refund. I received a very quick response from a gentleman called Dillon and carefully explained the issue to him. He kindly offered me a range of options to rectify the problem which was not of Norsegarde’s creation. Having looked through their range, there was nothing that I particularly wanted at that time and reluctantly requested a refund, which they agreed to home safe receipt of the ring. They provided a return postal address in Ukraine and we're very careful to point out that the post office service in Ukraine is somewhat disturbed at the moment and it would be advisable to send the package back via recorded delivery.
In the United Kingdom it is obviously recognised that shipping anything small and valuable too a country in the middle of a war comes at a premium and for me to post it back via recorded delivery was £16.50 (December 2023 costs). If I'm being completely honest I did expect there to be some degree of an issue with this, but to my immense delight, the package arrived with them on the 16th of January (despite) the Christmas break, and after a quick e-mail to Dillon confirming the post office tracking number, i have today (27th Jan 2024) received a full refund. I have read reviews elsewhere which seem slightly less balanced than mine and we will all have a different opinion, but my experience is that I asked courteously, and they were receptive to courtesy and even in the middle of a war dial just trying to make an honest living. Well the product was not for me be born in mind that this company have behaved impeccably and evidently very keen to protect their reputation and value their customers. I have nothing but praise for the ways they have conducted themselves all I would add is that I would check the sizes of the rings very carefully prior to placing an order, but again that is for the purchaser to check and not for the company to decide for you.
If I had the same ring that was slightly wider and slightly thicker that would probably suit somebody of my size, and I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again in an instant. In short if all companies around the world behaved like this, the world would be a far better place.
