Genuine handcrafted 925 Sterling Silver amulet with a traditional depiction of Hel, the goddess of the realm of the dead. The amulet is adorned with the three elder Futhark runes that spell out 'Hel'. This single sided amulet comes with a comfortable black cord, allowing for easy and ideal wearing of the piece.

Hel is the enigmatic and enshrouded goddess who rules over the realm of the dead, known as Helheim. Hel is the daughter of the trickster god Loki and the giantess Angrboða, making her a half-god, half-giant hybrid. Her appearance is often described as half-beautiful and half-decayed, mirroring the duality of her domain. Hel is a solemn and somber deity, overseeing the souls of those who did not die in battle and, as a result, did not gain entry to the glorious halls of Valhalla.
